Salidas Park & Recreation Program
The City of Salida offers many great year round recreation programs
for kid's pre-school age and up. We provide a variety of exciting
classes including swimming, arts and crafts, biking, educational
indoor and outdoor programs and much more! Pick up a Summer Recreation
Program brochure for schedules and fees. These brochures are available
at the Hot Springs Aquatic Center and the Chamber of Commerce.
"Going and Growing...55 and
Beyond" is Salida's Recreation Program for older adults.
Year-round activities include art and computer classes, cultural
trips and outdoor adventures. "Well
over Sixty" is a wellness program designed for older
adults that features strength training classes, a walking club,
health screens and educational programs on a variety of health related
topics. This program is co-sponsored by City of Salida Recreation

Monarch Ski & Snowboard Area "The
Hometown Ski Area"
Open November to April at 10,790 feet with a 1170 vertical drop.
Perched high atop the Continental Divide, Monarch boasts an average
snowfall of 350 inches and consistently ranks top in the state for
natural snowfall. There are 670 ski able acres, 5 lifts and 54 trails.
The summit elevation is 11,961 feet. Monarch Snowcat Tours offers
900 backcounty acres, and incredible views. The tour have been named
the steepest and deepest by Denver's Rocky Mountain News. "Monarch

Salida Hot Springs
The Salida Hot Springs is a year round facility which offers aquatic
recreation and relaxation in natural hot mineral water.

Babe Ruth Baseball Association:
May through July Approximately 200 participants.
Age groups 5 - 14 & 15 - 18 years.
Youth Soccer Association:
Spring & Fall seasons. Recreational play for ages 5 - 12. Intermediate
& Competitive play for ages 12 - 19.
Girls Slow Pitch Softball
League
Starts in June. For ages 8 - 12 and 13 -15.
Womens Recreation Volleyball
League:
January through April. Andreas Field House & Larimer Gym on
Tuesdays.
Competitive Volleyball League:
Mondays, January through April.
Co-Ed Recreational Volleyball League
Thursdays, January through April.
Womens Competitive Volleyball
League:
Wednesday, August through November.
Mens Basketball Town Team
League:
November to April, Sundays and Wednesdays.
Bowling: Salida Super Bowl
Lanes. Winter Leagues, mixed leagues,, women, men and children.
Cyclone Swim Team:
Swim practice all winter at the Salida Hot springs Pool. Ages 5
- 18 years.
