Welcome to the 2007 New Home Tour.

This is the second year that the Heart of the Rockies Chamber of Commerce has sponsored this event, and this year is even better than last year. We have a wide variety of homes to show you this year that will inspire you to create your next home or get some ideas for that remodeling project you’ve been planning.

This year’s New Home Tour features ten homes. We have a carriage house that is built behind an existing home. This is an example of how homeowners can increase their property value or accommodate an aging family member. We have a great home that is built off site and delivered to your lot. This is the next generation of modular homes, and we think you’ll be surprised at the high quality that this type of home offers today. We also have many custom homes built on-site that are for sale, featuring the highest quality finishes and attention to detail.

This year, you may purchase your tickets at the Heart of the Rockies Chamber of Commerce beginning September 1 by calling 719 539-2068, or stopping by the office at 406 W Highway 50, right by the Salida Aquatic Center. Or you may purchase your tickets on the dates of the event at any of the ten homes. Tickets will be good for Saturday and Sunday, so you will have all the time you need to explore these homes. New this year is a breakdown of some of the fine subcontractors and suppliers who have contributed to creating these homes. If you see something you would like to have, check out page 15 to see who can get it for you locally. Enjoy your tour days. Feel free to ask lots of questions and take lots of notes if you are preparing to build a new home. Or just take a day to spend with a friend and look at some lovely homes.
