17 ~ Sweet Sunny South will
be appearing at the Salida Cafe & Roastery on Friday, at
8:00 p.m. - SSS is original yet traditional old time bluegrass.
Based in Paonia, they tour to many of the finest festivals throughout
Colorado and placed at the Rocky Grass band contest. This is a fundraiser
for the The Upper Arkansas Service Club.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the Salida Chamber, the Salida Cafe
and at the door.
29 ~ Wednesday, September
29 from 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. the Salida Boys and Girls Club will host
the
HRRMC Kid's Health Fair. It will be at St. Joseph's Church Annex, 340
East 5th Street in Salida.
The HRRMC Kids Health Fair focuses on children K-8 in Chaffee County. Over 20 exhibits include a range of activities and information- from health screenings, a game show and bicycle rodeo to nutrition, healthcare assistance and recreation resources. Lots of great giveaways, too!
We are encouraging family members to attend and help collect information
for their children. A healthy dinner will be served starting at 5:00 p.m.
