2012 Events are still being scheduled - please come back soon.

1 ~ Collegiate Peaks Forum Series Distinguished Lecture Two “Peace Leadership”, 7:00 p.m., Buena Vista Community Center, 715 East Main Street
Paul Chappell graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2002, then spent seven years in the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of captain, and serving a tour in Baghdad. Surprisingly, that military training and war experience taught him that war is not a naive dream, that peace is possible, and what steps we as a nation can take to achieve it. “Waging peace in this nuclear age is not only crucial to peace but is required for human survival.” Mr. Chappell is the author of three books and is working on the fourth. They include Will War Ever End: A Soldier’s Vision of Peace for the 21st Century, The End of War: How Waging Peace Can Save Humanity, Our Planet, and Our Future, and Peaceful Revolution: How we Can Create the Future Needed for Humanity’s Survival .
